Janet Bostrom runs Underswears as a feminist response to patriarchy’s lens of women’s bodies as purely sexual. She does this in the heart of Mormon country, Utah.
Sassy, boldly real, and clearly feminist, she needed a confident and clearly defined brand which consisted of clean-yet-quirky linear illustrations, a frank brand voice, and a lot of bal—chutzpah.
The client had a vision of a gender-neutral figure, casual, but sassy. Having the logo form the ‘underwear’ creates such a bold statement about what she’s here to do, it worked perfectly.
Removing the figure creates an ambiguous shape that still works with the other element: a curse bubble!
A sassy candy heart pattern was created for use on packaging & social media.
A set of fun posts were created for her to share her sassy & inclusive brand tone across Facebook & Instagram.
